MC Oluomo Re-elected Unopposed As Lagos NURTW Chairman 

Vowed to continue his reform policies that have transformed the union activities in the state for better.

Ikeja, Lagos State – Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been re-elected for a second term as the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The election which takes place at the 10th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference held at the state union secretariat in Agege, where Akinsanya and other executive members were elected unopposed.

The unopposed election saw the return of key figures to the leadership positions within the NURTW Lagos State Chapter. Alhaji Sulyman Ojora was elected as Deputy Chairman, while Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle (Sego) secured the position of Treasurer.

Meanwhile, 20 other executive members were elected unchallenged, further solidifying the leadership structure of the union in the state.

They were sworn-in by Adejare Kembi, Principal, Excel Practitioners in the presence Acting National President of the union Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore; former National Secretary Kabiru Ado Yau; Controller, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Lagos Office Eshomounu Itemoagbo; Assistant Chief Labour Officer in the ministry Anthony Ogwu; and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Lagos State Public Relation Officer Comrade Ismail Adejumo among others.

After being sworn in, MC Oluomo promised to secure more assistance for union members and also vowed to continue his reform policies that have transformed the union activities in the state for better.
