Police Arrest Three Suspects For Stealing Sheep In Jigawa 

The suspects confessed to have conspired and trespassed

Dutse, Jigawa State–  Operatives of Jigawa State Police Command have arrested three suspects for stealing a sheep in the Babura Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, on November 10, 2023, said that the suspects were caught red-handed stealing a sheep from the residence of Mustapha Dahiru in Baskwar village.

“On 05/11/2023 at about 0830hrs, one Mustapha Dahiru ‘m’ age 27yrs of Baskwar village Babura LGA, reported at the station that, on the same date at about 0330hrs, unknown persons trespassed into his house and stole away his sheep.

“On receipt of the report, Policemen on patrol were detailed. Fortunately, one Isah Musa ‘m’ age 20yrs, one Sa’idu Bello ‘m’ age 21yrs all of Baskwar village Babura LGA and one Ibrahim Muhammad ‘m’ age 18yrs of Gidan Mutum Daya village Katsina state were arrested in possession of the said sheep.

“The suspects were taken to the Divisional Crime Branch (DCB) for investigation.

“On investigation, the suspects confessed to have conspired and trespassed into the house of the complainant and stole his sheep.”
