Senator Mustapha To Launches Mentorship Program For Development Leaders
The programme is targeted at Presidents and executives of the associations.
Ilorin, Kwara State– The Office of Senator Saliu Mustapha, has facilitates Two-Day Mentorship Program for Kwara Central youth development associations leaders in the State.
The mentorship training is organized by the Office of the Special Technical Adviser to Senator Saliu Mustapha on Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Job Creation, the non-pecuniary program is designed to enhance the capacities of young leaders.
This is contained in a statement released by the Technical Adviser, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri, said the first session is scheduled for the 13th and 14th of November in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
According to him, the batch arrangement will enable every youth leader across the four local government areas to benefit from the opportunity optimally.
Abdulquadri noted that the programme is targeted at Presidents and executives of the associations.
“The training, which is strictly for the executives of participating associations, is aimed at improving the development in Kwara Central through capacity building and intellectual enhancement of the leaders of youth-focused organisations and groups such as yours.
Abdulquadir further emphasised the importance of collective capacity building to drive positive change in the district. This, he said, is expected to harp on areas of security, community relations, communications, mentoring and needs assessment, etc.
“It is expected that the training would afford the youth leaders the opportunity to play a more visible role in the community development and governance process, thereby supporting the government in real time feedback , peculiarities and urgent needs at the grassroot”
He also expressed the conviction that the active involvement of the associations will significantly enrich the experience and success of the event.
