Aluko’s Healthcare, Education Bills Pass First Reading 

The amendment aims to enhance the far-reaching impact on the quality of education and healthcare

Abuja, Nigeria–  A member representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Hon. Aluko Ahmed Yinka, on Thursday, initiated two bills and motions in the House of Representatives to improve healthcare and education in Kwara.

The first of the two bills, known as the “Federal College of Education Act (Amendment),” is designated with bill number HB 833. Its primary objective is to amend the existing Federal Colleges of Education Act to establish the Federal College of Education in Oke-Oyi, situated in the Ilorin East Local Government of Kwara State.

The second bill, also presented by Hon. Aluko, is titled the “Federal Medical Center Act (Amendment)” and is identified with bill number HB 833.

The core purpose of the bill is to amend the Federal Medical Center Act in order to establish the Federal Medical Center in Fufu, located in the Ilorin South Local Government, under the Federal Medical Center Act.
