Soldiers Eliminate 2 Suspected Bandits’ Informants In Kaduna
The two suspected bandits were responsible for the theft of over 100 cows owned by Alhaji Baban Jana
Kaduna State– The Nigerian soldiers have shot dead two suspected to be informants for bandits while attempting to escape near Taka-Lafiya village, in the vicinity of Janjala town within Kagarko Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. as part of the troops’ ongoing clearance operation in the area.
According to Saidu Haruna, a resident of Janjala, the two suspects met their fate during the operation.
He further explained how the informants of the two suspected bandits were responsible for the theft of over 100 cows owned by Alhaji Baban Jana and the kidnapping of several villagers in the neighboring villages of Kagarko.
In response, the troops, upon receiving information about the suspects heading towards Mai-Ido village, engaged them with gunfire as they tried to flee.
Meanwhile, City & Crime has learned that the kidnappers of four traders and a nursing mother in Iche village, near Kagarko, have demanded a ransom of N15 million. A relative of one victim, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that the abductors contacted them on Tuesday to make this demand.
However, no official response from the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command regarding the incident and its developments.
