Bandits Abduct District Head, 50 Others, Kill Three In Zamfara 

They stormed the village on dozens of motorcycles, and their first stop was the district head’s residence

Gusau, Zamfara State – Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted 50 people on Tuesday morning including a district head, women and children in Bagega village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

It was gathered that three villagers were reportedly killed in the attack carried out by the bandits.

Residents confirmed that the attackers arrived in a menacing convoy of motorcycles, and launched their attack by shooting indiscriminately and setting numerous houses ablaze.

The village head, Abubakar Uba,  confirmed the attack, said that the gunmen initially targeted the district head’s residence, where they abducted the leader along with three members of his household.

“They stormed the village on dozens of motorcycles, and their first stop was the district head’s residence. A few of them took him away with three members of his household before they entered the town and unleashed more harm,” Uba stated.
