Court Orders Naira Marley, Sam Larry To Be Remanded In Custody For 21 Days

Ikeja, Lagos State – A Magistrate Court sitting in the Yaba area of Lagos State has issued an order for the detention of popular Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, alias Sam Larry.

The Lagos State Police Command had sought the court’s authorization to remand both suspects in police custody for 30 days, pending the conclusion of their investigation into the controversial death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun presided over the proceedings and ruled on the police command’s application. Contrary to the police’s request for a 30-day detention period, Magistrate Olatunbosun ordered that Naira Marley and Sam Larry be remanded for a shorter duration, specifically 21 days.
