2023: Gobir Promises To Fix Kishi-Kaiama Road, If Elected

It’s difficult to believe that a beautiful town like this will be neglected.

The Gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State under the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Waziri Yakubu Gobir, has disclosed that part of his immediate plan once elected as governor, is to ameliorate the conditions of the bad roads in Kaiama Local Government.

Mr Gobir stated this on Saturday while meeting with some stakeholders and party faithful in Kaiama as part of his statewide campaign to mobilize support for YPP candidates.

According to him “I remember I visited our royal father in 2018 and I appreciate your Royal Highness for the warm reception you gave us. Your Highness, what I discovered in places we visited across the Kwara North region of the state is unacceptable.

“My personal experience concerning bad road network in this region shows that the people at the helm of affairs of our State have not done enough to address the infrastructural gap.

“It takes us (his entourage) more than 11 hours to get to Kaiama from Gwanara in Baruten due to the bad state of the road. By God’s Grace, if I emerge as Governor in the 2023 general elections, dilapidated Kishi to Kaiama road will become a thing of the past.”

“It’s difficult to believe that a beautiful town like this will be neglected. Kwara State is benefiting from this region in terms of high revenue generation and agricultural products. I pray Allah will give us the opportunity to use our commonwealth for the development of the Kwara and its residents,” he added.

The Emir of Kaiama in response prayed for the success of Gobir and the YPP candidates in the general elections. He also urged the party to intensify efforts in marketing the party and on the brilliant agenda of the party.
