2023: Gobir Promises All Inclusive Governance, If Elected As Governor

I will deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of Kwarans.

The Gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressive Congress (YPP) in Kwara State, Waziri Yakubu Gobir, on Friday took his campaign train to Patigi, promising inclusive governance.

Mr Gobir made this known at the Palace of the Etsu of Patigi, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Bologi Umar ll, Aláànú Mẹ̀kúnnù, said his administration will represent the interest of all Kwarans.

According to him “I will deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of Kwarans.”

He further explained that his government will put an end to the huge infrastructural gap in the state and bring the government closer to the populace.

“Your highness, it struck me the last time I visited, I discovered that Pategi was dominated by young vibrant youths who are graduates without jobs and farmers without support from the state agencies to increase their productivity,”

“I want to make a promise to your Highness and the entire people of Pategi that God willing I am elected as the Governor I will give needed attention to Kwara North in terms of Infrastructural development, economic development, and empowerment.”

Mr. Gobir reiterated his agenda is to bring the government close to the masses, create jobs for youths and ensure food security by encouraging and supporting farmers through mechanized farming.

The Etsu of Patigi appreciated Gobir for his support of the poor. He urged Gobir not to relent in supporting the marginalized and prayed for his success in the 2023 general elections.

He, however, urged his supporters to work for the party’s victory, adding that with his administration, Kwarans won’t have to worry about insecurity or poverty.
