Zamfara Police Rescue Nine Kidnap Victims
The rescue of the victims was a sequel to credible information obtained from a good Samaritan
Officers of the Zamfara State Police Command have rescued nine kidnap victims in Kucheri, Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday, April 13 by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muhammad Shehu.
Mr Shehu noted that the Police Tactical Operatives successfully rescued nine hostages comprising seven females and two males on Thursday, April 13.
According to him, the rescue of the victims was a sequel to credible information obtained from a good Samaritan which the Police used and successfully rescued the victims hale and hearty.
“The victims while with the police underwent medical checks at police Clinic facility Gusau, debriefed by the police detectives and thereafter reunited with their family/relations”, the statement read.
However, the Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf congratulated the victims for regaining their freedom and reassured the public of a sustained onslaught against the activities of bandits and other criminal elements.
