Yinka Aluko Hosts Ramadan Annual Lecture

House of Representatives member-elect, Hon. Aluko Ahmed Yinka, representing East/South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly on Saturday, April 15, hosted dignitaries from all walks of life for the 2nd annual Ramadan Lecture.

Speaking, the guest lecturer of the occasion, (Dr) Barr. Ridwanullahi Ibrahim Olagunju described Hon. Aluko as a man of honour who replicate the good gestures of his grandfather Sheikh Ahmad Ikokoro.

Dr Olagunju explained the benefit of organising Islamic lectures during the Ramadan period and its rewards from Almighty Allah.

According to him, ill-manner has taken over many homes, most children nowadays have no respect for elderly people and some women indulged in many atrocities under their husband’s watch.

“Our youth nowadays don’t values education, all they care about is money. Most of them ride in an expensive car that their parent cannot afford.

“The reflection of the family is what is being witnessed in society and by extension in the country.

“Many of the youth have become ritualists because they want a sudden wealth willy-nilly.

He noted that the parent has a lot of work to do in shaping the future of their children.

He explained that the ill in society escalated because many of the politicians who occupied public positions failed to fulfil their promises.

“The sovereignty belongs to the electorates, the present challenging state of the nation is because the government failed to fulfil its promise to the electorates.

The scholar said many politicians swear an oath and promise heaven and earth during the campaign period but fail their promises immediately after they assume office.

He noted that God is not happy with the people who made promises and failed.

Dr Olagunju advised the Rep-elect not to get distracted from his good intentions and forgives anybody who might have offended him during and after the 2023 election.

He prayed to Allah to give Aluko more wisdom and protection as he set to leads the  ilorin East/South constituency to the promised land.

On his part, House of Representatives member-elect for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Aluko Ahmed Yinka, maintains that the collective interest of his people become his priority.

He also tasked parents to teach their wards the way of God and show great concern for their moral and spiritual growth.

While assuring the gathering of his commitment and promised not to relent in his service to humanity and contribution to the growth of his constituency and state at large.
