Yahaya Seriki Urges Kwarans To Embrace INEC Voter Registration Ahead Of 2027 Polls
Seriki expressed concern over the low level of participation recorded so far.
Ilorin, Kwara State– The President/CEO of Kursi Investment and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari, has appealed to Kwarans to take part in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a personal letter to the people of Kwara State on Wednesday, Seriki expressed concern over the low level of participation recorded so far.
He noted that statistics released by INEC showed that only 33,726 individuals had completed online prepre-registration.
He stated, “For me, the issue of Voter’s registration is important and we need to step up awareness to encourage eligible young Kwarans who clocked 18 years in 2023, 2024 and 2025 to register. INEC will only recognise PVC on election day, therefore political stakeholders irrespective of their Parties must mobilize people to register in order to vote during future elections.
“We need to collectively improve voting strength of Kwara State and the journey starts with Voter’s registration,” he said.
He emphasised that boosting the state’s electoral strength ahead of the 2027 general elections must begin with active participation in the registration exercise.
The business mogul, however, commended the Kwara APC leadership under Prince Sunday Fagbemi for energising party structures across the state’s wards to mobilise residents for the exercise.
