Two Arrested For Allegedly Sodomising Minors In Bauchi

Bauchi State- The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects accused of sodomizing minors in separate locations across the state.

The suspects identified as Aminu Musa and Adamu Abdullahi.

In a statement released on Tuesday, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the spokesperson for the command, disclosed that one of the suspects, 41, was arrested following a complaint filed on December 30, 2024, at the Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters.

Musa, a shopkeeper from Sabon Garin Narabi, allegedly lured an 11-year-old boy, identified as Hassan (not his real name), into his room adjacent to his workplace.

According to the complaint, the suspect had carnal knowledge of the boy on multiple occasions.

The statement read, “Upon receiving the report, police officers from Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene and arrested the suspect.

Wakil noted that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and revealed how he manipulated the victim.

According to the suspect, “He frequently brought food to the boy and, on several occasions, gave him money in amounts of N300, N200, and N100, respectively.”

The police spokesperson said that he used these opportunities to exploit him, believing he was “reaping the benefits” of his actions.

“Similarly, in a related case, on December 31, 2024, a complaint was lodged at ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters, GRA Bauchi, that on December 28, 2024, at around 10:00 hours, one Adamu Abdullahi ‘m’, aged 38, a businessman dealing in metal scrap, also known as “Baban Bola,” encountered his 10-year-old child, one Garba (name withheld for privacy), while he was hawking.

Wakil explained that the suspect intimidated the victim, directed him to enter an uncompleted building, and forcefully had canal knowledge of him.

“Upon receiving the report, detectives from the Division were dispatched to the scene and immediately arrested the suspect, who confessed to the crime freely during interrogation.

“The Command under the leadership of CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, urged the good people of Bauchi to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station,” Wakil added.
