Truck Crushes Police Vehicle In Ondo, Kills Three Officers, Female Suspect

Akure, Ondo State – Tragedy struck on Friday as a truck lost control while descending the Ore Bridge, ramming into a police vehicle and killing three officers and a female suspect on the spot.
It was gathered that yhe accident occurred in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Guardian reports that the policemen, attached to the monitoring unit of the Ondo State Police Command, were reportedly on a mission from Akure to effect an arrest in Ore when the unfortunate incident happened.
According to eyewitness accounts, the collision’s impact was severe, causing instant fatalities among the vehicle’s occupants.
“With the heavy noise from the accident, people rushed to the scene, only to discover it was a police vehicle. Three policemen died instantly, and one sustained serious injuries,” a source revealed.
“The injured officer was rushed to the hospital. We later learned that the female victim was a suspect the officers had come to arrest.”
Confirming the incident, Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, noted that the command was aware of the incident and would provide further details in due course.
