Troops Neutralizes Boko Haram Terrorist In Dugushewa Village
Their bravery and determination resulted in the elimination of one Boko Haram insurgent.
The troops of Sector 3 in the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), based in Magumeri, have successfully eliminated one Boko Haram terrorist and made a significant recovery of arms and ammunition.
This is contained in a statement released on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, by the Military Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi.
According to him, “Throughout the operation, our troops discovered and confronted a group of Boko Haram terrorists in Dugushewa Village. They pursued the insurgents relentlessly as they tried to escape, and their bravery and determination resulted in the elimination of one Boko Haram insurgent.
“The recovered items included one AK 47 rifle, 4 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and one magazine, among other personal items. This substantial seizure significantly weakens the insurgents’ capability and disrupts their ability to carry out further acts of violence and terror.
However, the Force Commander MNJTF, Maj Gen Ibrahim Sallau Ali has commended the troops of Sector 3 for their display of gallantry and extends his gratitude to the local communities for their continuous support and cooperation.
He emphasized the importance of unity, saying that together, we will overcome terrorism and build a brighter and safer future for our nations.
