Tribunal Declares Natasha Akpoti Winner Of Kogi Central Senatorial Election
It was disclosed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) intentionally reduced Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s results
The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday invalidated Sen. Abubakar Ohere’s victory in the Kogi Central senatorial election.
Meanwhile, the court declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial election held on February 25th.
Tribunal Chairman Justice K. A. Orjiako, who delivered the unanimous judgment of the three-member panel, revealed that Senator Abubakar Ohere’s election results were artificially inflated in nine polling units within Ajaokuta Local Government Area (LGA).
Furthermore, it was disclosed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) intentionally reduced Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s results in those areas and omitted three other polling units’ results that were deliberately not entered for Natasha within the same LGA.
