Tinubu Nominates Dr Jamila Bio As New Minister For Federal Minstry Of Youth

President Bola Tinubu has approved the nomination of candidates for key roles in the Federal Ministry of Youth, pending Senate confirmation.

In a statement released on Sunday by the Chief Special Adviser to the President Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, September 17, 2023.

Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, a young medical practitioner, and former President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF), has been selected as the nominee for the position of Minister of Youth. Dr. Ibrahim has a track record of service as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mr. Ayodele Olawande, a community development expert and prominent youth leader within the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), has been nominated as the Minister of State for Youth. Mr. Olawande previously held a position in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.

President Tinubu has charged both nominees with the responsibility to uphold the dynamism, innovative spirit, and unwavering dedication synonymous with the youth of Nigeria as they carry out their duties.
