Terrorists Kill Two, Shoot Little Girl, Abduct Business Owner In Fresh Kwara Attack
The latest killings come amid a disturbing pattern of coordinated attacks across Kwara North and South of the state
Ilorin, Kwara State– Terrorists suspected to be bandits have killed at least two residents, abducted a trader and shot a little girl during a violent invasion of Gbugbu community in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.
Afrika Eyes had earlier reported that the attack occurred on Sunday evening in Edu Local Government Area, as gunmen stormed the community, firing sporadically and sending residents fleeing for safety.
However, the assailants abducted a businessman identified as Rilwan Bello, whose shop is located beside Ezigbo Store while his sales boy was reportedly shot dead at the scene during the attack.
A local news platform, NupekoTv-Lafiagi, confirmed that a Dukawa man was also killed in the incident.
Meanwhile, a young girl who sustained gunshot injuries is currently receiving treatment at a general hospital in the area.
Community sources further disclosed that another dead corpse was later discovered, heightening fears that the casualty figure may rise as security operatives continue combing the area.

On July 6, 2025, gunmen invaded the same Gbugbu community and abducted Alhaji Yau, a popular businessman and phone dealer, in a brazen operation that left residents shaken.
Shortly after, the assailants reportedly moved to Guye Dadi in search of another high-profile target, Alhaji Manle. Although he was absent during the raid, his wife was abducted.
Simultaneously, Ekko village also came under attack, leaving one person dead and another abducted.
