Terrorists Invade Kwara Community, Abduct Housewife, Son
Residents told Afrika Eyes that the armed men stormed the village late in the night, firing sporadically before whisking away their victims to an unknown destination.
Ilorin, Kwara State– Suspected terrorists believed to be bandits on Saturday night invaded Ndeji village in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State and abducted a housewife alongside her son.
Residents told Afrika Eyes that the armed men stormed the village late in the night, firing sporadically before whisking away their victims to an unknown destination.
The latest incident has created fear among residents of communities in Edu Local Government Area, where cases of kidnapping and banditry have been on the rise in recent months.
Residents have repeatedly called on the Kwara State Government and security agencies to intensify security presence in the area to prevent further attacks and protect lives and property.
Afrika Eyes previously reported that terrorists suspected to be bandits have killed at least two residents, abducted a trader and shot a little girl during a violent invasion of Gbugbu community in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.
Afrika Eyes had earlier reported that the attack occurred on Sunday evening in Edu Local Government Area, as gunmen stormed the community, firing sporadically and sending residents fleeing for safety.
However, the assailants abducted a businessman identified as Rilwan Bello, whose shop is located beside Ezigbo Store while his sales boy was reportedly shot dead at the scene during the attack.
