Terrorists Attack Customs Officers’ Camp In Kebbi, Kill One Officer, Set Facility Ablaze

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State– Late last night, suspected terrorists from the Lakurawa group launched a deadly attack on a Customs officers’ camp in the Maje area of Bagudo Local Government Area, Kebbi State.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the assailants arrived in large numbers and opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic among residents in the area.

During the assault, one Customs officer was reportedly killed, and the attackers set the camp ablaze before fleeing into nearby bushes.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kebbi State Government nor the Nigeria Customs Service has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

The attack is the latest in a series of violent assaults by armed groups in northwestern Nigeria, where security forces continue to grapple with rising cases of banditry and terrorism targeting both civilians and government installations.
