Suspected Terrorists Kill 15, Burn Homes, Vehicles In Night Raid On Katsina’s Dansoda Village

Several homes were reportedly set on fire, while vehicles and other valuables were destroyed during the attack.

Katsina State– At least 15 people were reportedly killed late Tuesday night as suspected terrorists launched a brutal attack on Dansoda village in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State, setting houses and vehicles ablaze in a wave of terror that has left the community reeling.

Afrika Eyes gathered that gunmen stormed the village and opening fire on residents and forcing many to flee into nearby bushes and surrounding communities for safety.

A security alert platform, Bakatsine, confirmed the assault on Wednesday, describing it as a devastating raid that caused widespread destruction.

Several homes were reportedly set on fire, while vehicles and other valuables were destroyed during the attack.

Local sources added that the exact number of injured or abducted residents remains unclear, as chaos continues to grip the area.

The latest incident has reignited fears among communities in southern Katsina, as residents express frustration over the persistent insecurity in the region.

The attack also casts doubt on the effectiveness of recent peace arrangements, with bandits continuing to launch deadly raids despite a peace deal reportedly signed weeks ago between armed groups and local government stakeholders.
