Sarkin Gobir Hails Olododo’s Turbaning As Gaskiya Ngeri Of Ilorin Emirate
Alhaji Gobir prayed for the success of the newly-installed Gaskiya Ngeri
Ilorin, Kwara State — The Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Wazirin Kasar Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has congratulated Alhaji Abdulganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo on his turbaning as the Gaskiya Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, describing the honour as a “fitting tribute to a life of truth, service, and integrity.”
In a statement issued on Friday, Alhaji Gobir lauded the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, for what he called “a wise and commendable decision” in bestowing the chieftaincy title on Olododo, a respected former federal lawmaker and community leader.
“The turbaning of Alhaji Abdulganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo as Gaskiya Ngeri is a well-deserved honour for a man of courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the development of our Emirate,” the Sarkin Gobir said.
He highlighted Olododo’s longstanding contributions to public service, both during his time in the National Assembly and in various leadership roles within the community.
“His new title is a recognition of his years of service and dedication to truth and justice,” Alhaji Gobir added.
“He has always stood firmly for what is right and has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of our people.”
The Sarkin Gobir also extended his heartfelt prayers for the Emir of Ilorin, thanking him for his continued leadership.
“We are grateful to His Royal Highness, the Emir, for this timely recognition. May Almighty Allah bless him with good health and a long, peaceful reign,” he said.
Alhaji Gobir prayed for the success of the newly-installed Gaskiya Ngeri.
