Saliu Mustapha Fulfills Promise, Grants Unions’ Request
The entire Members of the union also declared their full support for Saliu Mustapha.
In fulfilment of the pledge to support the growth of Transport workers, the APC candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District in the forthcoming 2023 election, Mallam Saliu Mustapha on Monday presented official vehicles to the transport Unions.
As Financial institutions in the country have been challenged to support the growth of Transport workers. The state chapters of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) had recently requested logistic support and were presented on Monday 17th of October, 2022 one Sienna bus, respectively.
The Turaki of Ilorin has always shown a high premium on the transport unions in the State.
The State Chairman of RTEAN Chairman, Comrade Onikijipa, thanked Saliu Mustapha for a promise kept and fulfilled, noting that the cars presented will ease the movement of the Union officials.
According to him “I am not a politician, but based on what is being heard about the philanthropic acts of Saliu Mustapha and his good heart for the growth and development of Kwara Central and Kwara at large, I am completely ready to cast my vote for you – referring to Saliu Mustapha of APC.”
In his remark, the NURTW Chairman also described Mallam Saliu Mustapha as a generous person with an incredible relationship with the downtrodden. He thereby endorsed the candidature of Saliu Mustapha.
Meanwhile, the entire Members of the union also declared their full support for Saliu Mustapha.
Mr Mustapha said a productive workforce remained the backbone of a prosperous society, pointing out that Kwara Union workers are important stakeholders in the growth of the State’s economy.
He noted that he remains steadfast in initiating and supporting activities aimed at driving social growth and economic development in Kwara, he promised to integrate into his legislative agenda, policies promoting the transport business in the country.
The Turaki of Ilorin urged the two unions to vote for all APC candidates from the President to the Members of the State House of Assembly, being the only way to enjoy consolidated social and economic development.
