RRS Squad Nabs Cable Thief On Third Mainland Bridge
The suspect, a 24-year-old Nigerien, Seidu Ali, was arrested around 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday
Ikeja, Lagos State– Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a suspected cable thief during their routine patrol of the bustling Third Mainland Bridge.
The suspect was caught in the act of stealing cables, while RRS personnel retrieved four bound strands of cables from his possession.
The suspect, a 24-year-old Nigerien, Seidu Ali, was arrested around 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
In a statement on Thursday, RRS said the arrest of the suspect was the second in three weeks.
The suspect had earlier been arrested and reprimanded for attempting to steal cable on Third Mainland Bridge.
Meanwhile, the Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has directed that he be charged to court immediately.
