‘Reward Me Or Kill Me’ — Man Breaks Down in Tears At APC Secretariat, Says He Sold His House, Lost Children Over Party Work

I sold my house because of the debt people said I owed, because of the work I did for APC, and at the end of it, no reward.

Abuja, Nigeria– A visibly distressed supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has staged a dramatic protest at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, lamenting alleged neglect and abandonment after years of loyalty and personal sacrifice.

In a video obtained by Afrika Eyes, the yet-to-be-identified man was seen weeping openly while clutching a banner with the inscription: “All Progressives Congress Reward Me or Kill Me. I’m a party man and not a lunatic. I have lost so much for the party. I am in depression and my health is affected.”

The protester, who appeared emotionally overwhelmed, claimed he had sold his house to offset debts he incurred while working for the APC, only to be left without compensation or support from the party.

According to him, his ordeal had pushed him into extreme hardship, leaving him unable to cater for his family.

“I sold my house because of the debt people said I owed, because of the work I did for APC, and at the end of it, no reward,” he said tearfully in the video. “Rather, the CSO is trying to shoot me and nothing will happen.”

The man further made shocking claims about his children, stating that he no longer knew their whereabouts after handing them over due to his inability to provide for them.

“Since yesterday, my children, I don’t know where they are. I dropped my children with the CSO,” he said.

“I dropped my children with the CSO and APC because I could no longer take care of them again. I cannot pay school fees anymore.”

Eyewitnesses at the scene were heard reacting with a mix of sympathy and ridicule, with some mocking the man and questioning his decisions.

“Who sent him ?” some onlookers was heard saying in the background.

The incident has stirred concerns about the welfare of grassroots political supporters, particularly those who claim to have made significant personal sacrifices in service of political parties without recognition or reward.

As of the time of filing this report, officials of the APC had yet to publicly respond to the protest or the allegations made by the distressed supporter.
