Police Arrest Suspect With Two Ak-47, Large Sum Of Cash In Kano
The suspect is currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
Kano State– Operatives of the Kano State Police command have arrested a 35-year-old man, Hassan Ilyasu, a resident of Alhazawa Village in Musawa LGA, Katsina State.
The suspect was arrested during a routine stop-and-search operation by officers from the Tsanyawa Division at around 6:00 AM today.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, disclosed this information on his X handle on Tuesday.
He stated that the police recovered two AK-47 rifles with loaded magazines and a substantial amount of cash totaling 4,986,000 naira, which was found in a sack wrapped securely with adhesive tape.
He added that the suspect is currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
