Police Arrest Man Who Poses As ‘Ghost’ To Defraud People In Adamawa

A notorious 419 who used various disguises to swindle people of their money.

Yola, Adamawa State– The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 39-year-old man for orchestrating a bizarre scam, where he masqueraded as a ghost to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.

In a statement on Saturday, April 20, 2024, the Spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje,  disclosed that the suspect, Sani Mamman, is a notorious 419.

“The Adamawa state police command has on 19/4/2024 apprehended a 39-year-old man who allegedly defrauded unsuspecting victims by pretending to be a ghost. Sounding with different tones,” the statement read.

“The man, identified as Sani Mamman, was said to be a notorious 419 who used various disguises to swindle people of their money. The Command is investigating discreetly, more details soon.”
