Yenagoa, Bayelsa State- The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly sharing a nude video of a young woman on social media.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Godgift Bai, from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, was apprehended on Tuesday in Yenagoa.
Confirming the arrest, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Musa Mohammed, stated that the Cyber Crime Unit conducted a thorough investigation under the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Alonyenu Francis Idu.
Mohammed emphasized the command’s commitment to tackling cyberstalking and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
He also urged the public to refrain from engaging in any form of online exploitation.
The suspect is expected to face charges and be arraigned in court soon.
