Police Arrest Impostor Posing As Soldier In Kebbi
Donning military camouflage attire, proceeded to evaluate the vehicle during a test drive
Operatives of the Nigeria Police, Kebbi State Area Command, have arrested an imposter posing as a soldier.
The suspect known as Faisal Saidu, hailing from Kawarin Kudi Zango Local Government in Katsina State, has been recognized as the suspect. He engaged in negotiations with a car dealer in Kebbi for a Honda Jazz, offering a sum of two million, two hundred thousand naira (N2,200,000).
However, following the agreement with a car dealer, Saidu, donning military camouflage attire, proceeded to evaluate the vehicle during a test drive, yet he failed to come back as expected.
The car dealer promptly notified the police, prompting them to initiate a search operation for the imposter posing as a soldier, the police arrested him in Katsina State.
He admitted to the wrongdoing, leading to the recovery of the vehicle, the suspect in question is currently under police custody and will face legal proceedings in court once the investigative process is finalized.
