Police Arreast 20-Year-Old Man For Killing Stepmother, Stepsister In Kano
The suspect was said to have stabbed the duo to death
A 20-year-old man, Gaddafi Sagir, has reportedly killed his stepmother, identified as Rabi’atu Sagir and her daughter, Munawwara Sagir, in Kano.
The incident happened on Saturday night around 11.00 pm, at Rijiyar Zaki, around Layin Dorawanyan Kifi, Ungogo Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the suspect was said to have stabbed the duo to death after accusing the stepmom of causing his mother’s divorce with his father.
The spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the incident.
Mr Kiyawa, said the suspect had been arrested, adding that the command would issue a statement to that regard shortly.
He explained that the suspect used a sharp object, slit his stepmother and strangled her daughter to death.
He said the police have commenced an investigation into the crime.
