Plateau Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Stealing Vehicle
Upon receiving a report of the missing vehicle, our gallant operatives attached to Bukuru Division immediately swung into action
Jos, Plateau State- The Plateau State Police Command has arrested Kabiru Mohammed, for allegedly stealing a Toyota Hiace bus in Jos.
It was gathered that the vehicle, which was reportedly taken from its rightful owner, was recovered from the suspect in Sabon Gari Narabi, Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
In a statement released on Thursday, by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Alfred Alabo, said that the vehicle was reported missing by its owner on September 16.
The statement read, “Upon receiving a report of the missing vehicle, our gallant operatives attached to Bukuru Division immediately swung into action by executing stop and search operations within the area.
“Consequently, the vehicle was recovered in the possession of one Kabiru Mohammed, male of Sabon Gari Narabi Toro LGA of Bauchi State on 18/09/2024 at about 0045hrs.”
“The suspect is currently in our custody providing us with useful information that will lead further recoveries.”
He added that upon conclusion of our investigation the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, called on the general public to always provide the police and other security agencies with useful, timely and accurate information that could enable us serve you better and aid our operation on Plateau.
