Palm Wine Tapper Arrested For Allegedly Raping Grandmother To Death
She was reportedly stripped naked and raped by her attackers.
An 80-year-old woman has reportedly been raped to death by a suspected palm wine tapper identified as Sunday Mima at Ore, Odigbo council area of Ondo state.
The suspect allegedly attacked the victim identified as Aderibigbe Felicia, on her farm, stripped her naked and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The suspect was apprehended by some youths in the community who reportedly found in his possession the victim’s mobile telephone.
A local who spoke with newsmen said the victim was missing for days after she left for her farm. She was reportedly stripped naked and raped by her attackers.
The Police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the arrest of the suspect adding that the incident was a case of rape and murder.
Odunlami added that the suspect would soon be paraded by the command after interrogation and subsequently charged to court.
