NSCDC Arrests Kidnap Gang Behind Murder Of Ex-Nasarawa Attorney-General’s
The suspects have confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution
Lafia, Nasarawa State– Operatives of the Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a gang of kidnappers responsible for the abduction and murder of Comrade Daniel Umaru Lagi, the father of Barrister Innocent Lagi, former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
Confirming the arrest in a statement on Saturday, June 15, 2024, the Commandant of the corps, Ismaila Abdullahi, said the suspects were arrested in a sting operation in collaboration with the troops of the Nigerian Army, Operation Whirl Stroke of the Nigerian Army.
Mr Abdullahi added that the suspects have confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution upon completion of the investigation.
