Notorious Bandit Leaders Surrender Arms, Free Captives In Katsina 

The bandits handed over four AK47 rifles in good condition, along with 15 rescued individuals, including three men, eight women, and four children.

Katsina State- Two notorious leaders Abu Radde and Umar Black, operating in Batsari and Safana Local Government Areas of Katsina State, have surrendered their arms and released 15 captives.

This development follows intensified military operations by the combined forces of Operation FASAN YANMA.

It was gathered that bandits surrender on January 19, 2025, at Batsari, was attended by military representatives and other key stakeholders.

A statement issued by the Nigerian Army on Monday clarified that the surrender was not part of any negotiation or peace deal.

It said, “It marked a decisive step towards disarming criminal elements and ensuring the unconditional release of all kidnapped victims.

“The surrendered arms are now under the custody of the 17 Brigade, while the freed captives have been handed over to Local Government Authorities for rehabilitation and reintegration into society,” the statement said.
