Niger State To Build $2 Million Poultry Farm In Bosso
The poultry farm, which will be built in partnership with the Federal Government’s livestock development initiative, positions Niger as a key pilot state for the project.
Minna, Niger State– Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru-Bago, has announced plans to construct a $2 million poultry farm in Bosso Local Government Area (LGA) as part of the state’s commitment to advancing livestock development.
The governor made the announcement on Friday in Maikunkele, during an engagement with stakeholders as part of his state-wide project monitoring tour.
The poultry farm, which will be built in partnership with the Federal Government’s livestock development initiative, positions Niger as a key pilot state for the project.
Governor Umaru-Bago explained the farm’s potential to enhance local poultry production and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
In his address, the governor highlighted various ongoing infrastructure projects in the area, particularly road developments.
He called on residents to continue supporting his administration, urging those whose properties have been affected by the road projects to cooperate by relocating to expedite construction.
He reassured the affected individuals that full compensation would be provided.
Governor Umaru-Bago also recognized the growing population of Bosso LGA, announcing plans for the construction of a new General Hospital to alleviate pressure on the existing facility in Minna.
However, he pledged to address electricity issues in the Kodo area.
The governor took a moment to commend Senator Mohammed Musa of Niger East Senatorial District for his exemplary service to the constituency and the people of Niger State.
