Niger State Govt Debunks Claims On Alcohol Ban

We invite the good public and our friends in the media to ignore any such pronouncements

Minna, Niger State – The Niger State Government has categorically denied recent reports circulating on various blogs suggesting that the government, through the state’s Liquor and Licensing Board, has imposed a ban on the sale of alcohol in nine Local Government Areas (LGAs), including Suleja.

The Niger State Government emphasized that there is no truth to the claims of an alcohol ban in the specified LGAs and urged the public to disregard the false information.

The State Government stressed that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, who has been actively spearheading numerous community-oriented projects throughout the state, did not issue any such directive.

The State Governor clarified that the Liquor and Licensing Board is yet to be established under his administration; therefore, no directive of this nature can originate from a board that has not been constituted.
