Man Arrested For Forgery, Impersonation Of Lagos State Magistrates

A fake police identity card and a passport photograph of the suspect in police uniform which investigation revealed he had photoshopped.

Ikeja, Lagos State- A 48-year-old man identified as Charles Chukwudi have been arrested by the Detectives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Lagos State Police Command for forgery and impersonation.

The arrest, which took place following discreet investigations into his issuance of fake court documents to unsuspecting members of the public.

Upon interrogation, SCID uncovered a forged official stamp of Chief Magistrate Admin, C/M Adeola Olatunbosun – Chief Magistrate Court I Yaba and Magistrate A.B Ajiferuke of Magistrate Court Epe.

Also found in his possession was a fake police identity card and a passport photograph of the suspect in police uniform which investigation revealed he had photoshopped.

Confirming his arrest to newsmen, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said investigations had commenced into his fraudulent activities after its discovery by some court officials who in turn alerted the police.

“He was arrested within the premises of Tinubu Court, Lagos-island on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He has since been arraigned.
