Lakurawa Terrorists Storm Kebbi Mosque, Kill Four Worshippers, Injure Several In Fresh Attack

Eyewitness accounts obtained by Afrika Eyes revealed that the attackers stormed the mosque without warning, shooting directly at worshippers who were seated in prayer.

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State– Terrorists suspected to be members of the Lakurawa bandit group have launched a deadly attack on a mosque in Dadinkowa town, located in Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing four worshippers instantly.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the gunmen invaded the mosque while worshippers were observing prayers and opened fire indiscriminately inside the house of worship, turning a sacred gathering into a scene of chaos and bloodshed.

Eyewitness accounts obtained by Afrika Eyes revealed that the attackers stormed the mosque without warning, shooting directly at worshippers who were seated in prayer.

“Four people were killed on the spot inside the mosque,” a resident told AfrikaEyes. “Several others were hit by bullets as the attackers kept firing. It was a terrifying moment because nobody expected such an attack in a place of worship.”

Eyewitnesses said several other worshippers sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack. The wounded victims were rushed to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. However, the exact number of those injured has yet to be officially confirmed by authorities.

A community member lamented the deteriorating security situation in the region, saying the attack has deepened fear among residents.
