Kwara CP Decorates Newly-Promoted Senior Officers

The Commissioner of Police admonished the officers to be conscious of the responsibilities attached to the new ranks, adding that the reward for hard work is more hard work.

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Tuesday Assayomo on Wednesday, decorated newly promoted Officers of the Command, at Kwara State Police Command.

CP Assayomo, while congratulating the newly promoted senior officers on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the Commissioner of Police admonished the officers to be conscious of the responsibilities attached to the new ranks, adding that the reward for hard work is more hard work.

He re-iterated the IGP’s talk about taking the welfare of officers and men of the Force seriously, as exemplified by the recent mass promotion of officers across all the caders.

Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, DCP Wilson Aniefiok Akpan, the outgoing Acp Operation of the command, appreciated the Police Commission for considering them worthy of the new ranks.

He also commended the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, for providing an exemplary leadership through constant admonition and monitoring of the activities of officers and men.

He said this always propelled officers and men of the command to put all their best in discharging their duties.

However, he promised on behalf of other beneficiaries of the promotion to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in them which provided the opportunity for the promotions.

Asps Toun Ejire, Agbelemose Deborah Nifemi, Waziri Fanem Smith and seventeen other Asps were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), while Asp Kehinde Omotosho and sixteen others were also promoted from Asp11 to Asp 1 among others.
