Kaduna State — Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, reportedly escaped an alleged assassination attempt on Wednesday.
The senator, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), took to his verified Facebook account late Wednesday evening to confirm the incident.
Usman, who was elected to the Senate in 2023, did not provide further details about the attack in his post but assured his supporters of his safety.
However, Nigerian Police have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
