Hisbah Raids Kano Hotel, Arrests 26 Over Alleged Immoral Acts

Kano State– The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 26 individuals during a raid on Grace Palace Hotel, located near Bukabu Barrack in Kano metropolis, over alleged involvement in immoral activities.
The operation was confirmed by the board’s Deputy Commander General, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen.
He stated that the suspects — 14 females and 12 males — were arrested on Saturday after numerous public complaints about their illegal activities at the hotel.
“The 26 persons were arrested during an operation in Grace Palace Hotel near Bukabu Barrack in Kano metropolis,” he said.
“We want to seize this opportunity to appreciate the military authorities and their commander for the cooperation they gave us to conduct the operation successfully.”
Aminuddeen explained that during the operation, many of the suspects were found intoxicated, and several cartons of assorted alcoholic beverages were seized from them.
“We want to seize this opportunity to appeal to members of the public to continue to report to our office such immoral activities being carried out, be it in hotels or residential houses, for prompt action,” he said.
He added that the operation would be an ongoing exercise aimed at apprehending offenders and restoring order in the state.
