Gunmen Abduct Two Siblings, Wife In Kwara Community
It was gathered that the assailants reportedly stormed the village on Saturday night at around 10:00 p.m.
Ilorin, Kwara State– Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two siblings, Alhaji Moshood Owoyale and Alhaji Abdulkazeem Owoyale, along with Alhaji Moshood’s wife, at Owoyale village along the Oro-Agbamu road in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the assailants reportedly stormed the village on Saturday night at around 10:00 p.m.
Confirming the incident in a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, ASP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, assured that law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the case.
“The Kwara State Police Command is aware of the unfortunate kidnap incident that occurred on 1st February 2025 at about 2200 hours. We have deployed tactical teams to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Ejire-Adeyemi stated.
“It was reported that unknown armed men stormed owoyale village along oro-agbamu road and forcefully whisked 3 persons to an unknown location. Alh Moshood and Alh Abdulkazeem Owoyale (siblings), and the wife to Alh Moshood.
“The Police alongside the vigilante/hunter groups has swung into action; combing the forest to rescue the 3victims unhurt and apprehend the criminals behind this act.
“Further developments on the outcome will be communicated as it progresses,” she added.
