Gunmen Abduct Police Officer In Kwara
While he was about entering his house in Ogidi, outskirt of Ilorin.
Unknown gunmen have kidnapped a police officer, Abdulmumini Yusuf, in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Afrika Eyes gathered that Yusuf, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) was kidnapped on Tuesday night while he was about entering his house in Ogidi, outskirt of Ilorin.
The spokesman of the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the development in Ilorin on Thursday morning.
According to him “Kwara Command is tirelessly working towards rescuing the abducted Assistance Superintendent of police even as the motive of the abduction is still sketchy.
“The incident, as serious as it is, has not diminished the resolve of the command to protect lives/ property of the citizens,” he added.
