FCT Police Arrest “One Chance” Robbers, Recover Stolen Valuables

The suspects were apprehended on the heels of complaints received from multiple victims.

Abuja, Nigeria– Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have arrested six  notorious armed robbery syndicate.

The suspects who specialize in attacking unsuspecting residents who board their vehicles or tricycles, robbing them of their valuables, and then pushing them off the moving vehicle.

The suspects were identified as Abubakar Adams, Ismail Salisu, Yusuf Bello, Nasiru Saidi, Sani Usman and Ibrahim Kasa.

Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said that light weapons, such as cutlasses and knives, as well as a phone believed to have been stolen from a victim, were recovered from them.

“The suspects were apprehended on the heels of complaints received from multiple victims of these atrocious acts, some of whom reported losing their mobile phones, money, gadgets, and other belongings to these criminal individuals who have since confessed to the crime.

‘’While Investigation is still ongoing, the commissioner of police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, reaffirms the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all and sundry.
