Among the items recovered during the raid were a Toyota Corolla vehicle, several mobile phones, laptops, and an MP3 audio device.
Benin, Edo State — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun investigations into a group of 30 suspected internet fraudsters arrested at a so-called “Yahoo” training school—locally dubbed Hustle Kingdom (HK)—in Benin City, Edo State.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, by the EFCC’s Benin Zonal Directorate, the suspects were arrested by operatives of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and handed over to the anti-graft agency on Monday, April 28, for further investigation.
The arrest followed actionable intelligence and swift military action,” the EFCC noted in its statement.
What was uncovered was a fully equipped cybercrime training facility, complete with desktop computers, workstations, and a compartment containing various fetish items believed to be used for rituals.
Among the items recovered during the raid were a Toyota Corolla vehicle, several mobile phones, laptops, and an MP3 audio device.
The EFCC said the scene resembled a traditional computer training center on the surface, but was, in fact, a hub for cybercrime activities.
The EFCC stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
