Easter: Yahaya Seriki Felicitates Kwara Christians, Calls For Continued Prayers Peaceful Co-existence
As Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is a powerful reminder of hope, renewal, and sacrifice
Ilorin, Kwara State – A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari, has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community in Kwara State, urging continued prayers for Nigeria’s leaders and sustained religious harmony across the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, Yahaya Seriki congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the 2025 Lenten season, describing it as a time of deep spiritual reflection and recommitment to faith.
“The Lenten season is a period that reminds us of the importance of staying close to God through fasting, prayers, and acts of kindness,” Seriki said.
“As Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is a powerful reminder of hope, renewal, and sacrifice.”
He used the occasion to commend the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kwara for what he described as “a steadfast commitment to promoting peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance” in the state, widely referred to as the ‘State of Harmony.’
“We must all continue to work together to preserve our collective unity and peace, irrespective of our religious differences. I urge our Christian brothers and sisters to continue to pray for our leaders – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq – as they steer the affairs of our nation and state respectively,” he added.
The APC stalwart also extended his Easter wishes to Christians across the sixteen local government areas of Kwara State, expressing hope that the celebrations would be peaceful and spiritually fulfilling.
“May this season of Easter bring renewed hope and strengthen our collective resolve to build a better Kwara and Nigeria,” Seriki added.
