DJ Chicken Arrested Over Comments About Seyi Tinubu As Lawyer Begs Presidency, Government For Forgiveness

Ikeja, Lagos State– Controversial Nigerian social media personality and entertainer, DJ Chicken, has reportedly been arrested by security authorities over comments he allegedly made about President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

His lawyer disclosed the development in an emotional video, revealing that DJ Chicken was arrested in Ikeja and is currently in the custody of security authorities.

According to the lawyer, although DJ Chicken was initially taken to the Ikeja Police Headquarters, he believes the case is being handled by the Department of State Services (DSS).

“He was arrested at Ikeja Police Headquarters, but I’m very sure it is the DSS,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer explained that the arrest was linked to statements DJ Chicken made a few days ago concerning Seyi Tinubu.

“He was arrested in connection with the statement he made some days ago about the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu,” he added.

Making an emotional appeal to Seyi Tinubu, the Federal Government, and anyone with influence, the lawyer pleaded for DJ Chicken’s release, insisting that the controversial entertainer should be forgiven.

“So, Chicken is now with the authorities. He was arrested at Ikeja Police Headquarters. But I’m very sure it is the DSS.

“And he was arrested in connection with the statement he made some days ago about the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu.

“But please, fans and well-wishers, people that like Chicken, people that are close to the President, please help us to beg.

“Because I don’t even know what to do now. The evidence is there. At this point, I’m begging you.

“Please forgive Chicken. It’s not okay like that.”

The lawyer further described DJ Chicken as a personal rehabilitation project, saying he deliberately chose to assist him because he believes everyone deserves a chance to become a better member of society.

“In fact, Chicken is my own personal project. It’s my own part of giving back to society. I just picked interest in him. As a criminal lawyer, that’s why I picked Chicken.

“Like, okay, let me just see what I can do. We are just managing him. I’m just trying to… he’s still part of society. He has messed up.

“But please, we are begging. Please.”

He also called on DJ Chicken’s supporters and anyone with access to influential figures within the government to intervene on his behalf.

“If you can see this video, and you are Chicken’s fan, and you know someone that knows someone, whether he’s in government or anywhere, everybody that I know that is close to Seyi Tinubu, I will start calling them now.

“Please, we have to beg. Government should please forgive him. We will do everything. They should please. Please.”

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) had not issued any official statement regarding DJ Chicken’s arrest or confirmed the allegations against him.

The exact remarks that reportedly led to his arrest have also not been officially disclosed by the authorities.
