Deadly Bandits Attacks Claim Lives In Kebbi/Sokoto Border Villages

Many people, primarily farmers, were killed, and a considerable number were forced to flee their residences as a result of bandit attacks on seven villages situated along the border of Kebbi and Sokoto State.

The affected villages are Zawaini and Jangargari in Kebbi State, along with Jaja, as well as Karani and three additional villages located within Sokoto State.

Numerous houses and shops were reported to have been set ablaze during these ruthless attacks.

It has been gathered that the incident compelled numerous residents to flee their homes and seek refuge in Jarkuka village, situated within the Arewa Local Government area of Kebbi State.

Governor Nasiru Idris reportedly issued directives for the distribution of relief items to assist those who had been displaced by the attacks.

A government official, who communicated with Daily Trust, indicated that the governor had deployed a team led by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Empowerment, Muhammad Hamidu Jarkuka, and the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed, to personally deliver the relief items to the affected individuals.
