Couple Arrested In Edo For Allegedly Assaulting Eight-Year-Old Maid
The couple was later arrested by the police after some people reported the matter
Benin, Edo State– A couple accused of assaulting their eight-year-old maid, known as Precious have been arrested in Ikpoba Hill, near Benin City, Edo State.
It was gathered that the suspects were alleged to have inflicted injuries on the maid’s body who happened to be a niece to the wife identified simply as Mummy Gabriel.
However, the couple was later arrested by the police after some people reported the matter at the Oregbeni Police Division, Ikpoba Hill, in Edo State.
The spokesman of the command, Moses Joel Yamu, confirmed the arrest.
“The command is in receipt of this incident. The victim is currently undergoing treatment while the investigation continues,” he said.
