BREAKING: Yahaya Bello Reappears At EFCC Over Alleged Fund Misappropriation

Abuja, Nigeria- The former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has once again presented himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with ongoing investigations into alleged misappropriation of state funds.
Bello arrived at the EFCC headquarters on Tuesday morning, accompanied by his legal team, following a Supreme Court ruling that upheld the legality of the anti-graft agency.
The ruling dismissed the lawsuit filed by state governments challenging the constitutionality of the EFCC.
The ex-governor made his way to the EFCC office in a black Toyota Hilux, driving himself. This marks his latest appearance before the commission amid the ongoing probe into his tenure as governor.
During the previous hearing on November 14, the EFCC requested an adjournment until November 27 for the new case it filed against Bello, explaining that the 30-day period for the summons previously issued was still ongoing.
The EFCC had initially filed 19 charges against the former Kogi governor, along with his nephew Ali Bello, Dauda Suliman, and Abdulsalam Hudu, for money laundering offences amounting to N80,246,470,088.88.
In the fresh charges dated September 25, the total amount involved is N110,446,470,89.00.
The Federal Capital Territory High Court, sitting in Maitama, Abuja, had dismissed the oral bail applications of Abdulsalam Hudu and Umar Oricho, who are co-defendants of Yahaya Bello in the N110.4billion fraud case preferred again them by the EFCC.
